On the type locality of Atractus paraguayensis Werner, 1924 (Serpentes: Dipsadidae)
Resumen
Atractus paraguayensis is a medium-sized snake distributed in northern Argentina, south-eastern Brazil and central and south of Paraguay. There are no precise locality of the type locality of this species, however this subject hasc been discussed in several works. In this contribution, we performed a historical investigation to restrict the type locality of A. paraguayensis. In this brief historical account, we provide the precise type locality Atractus paraguayensis, being the locality Bernal Cué, this also affect to the type locality of other snakes described from Paraguay.
